Privacy Policy for Kloovi
Last updated: May 9, 2026
1) Introduction
Kloovi ("Kloovi", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile app that helps users manage clothing items, build outfits, and receive outfit analysis or recommendations. The app is operated by Fevzihan Alkan as an individual developer.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
By using Kloovi, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

- Email: alkanfevzihan@gmail.com
2) Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
A. Account and Identity Information
- Email address
- Authentication provider details (for example, email/password, Google, Apple)
- Unique account identifiers (such as Firebase user ID)
- Basic profile details you provide in-app (for example, display name, preferences, avatar/photo URL)
B. User Content
- Photos you capture or upload for wardrobe/outfit functionality
- Clothing metadata generated or stored by the app (for example, category and attributes)
- Outfit combinations you create and usage history (for example, worn dates)
C. Subscription and Purchase Information
- Subscription status and entitlements (for example, active/inactive plan access)
- In-app purchase state needed to unlock paid features
Important: payment card and billing processing are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription state may be coordinated through RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card details.
D. Device and Technical Data
- App logs and basic technical diagnostics (for example, error details)
- Device and app session signals needed to run core features
- Notification-related preference settings stored locally in your app state
E. API Requests (Security)
When you use features that contact our backend (for example, clothing analysis or outfit recommendations), the app may send requests secured with a Firebase authentication token so the service can verify your session and apply usage rules.
3) How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate you securely and protect account access
- Store and sync your wardrobe and outfit data
- Analyze clothing photos and generate outfit recommendations
- Provide, restore, and manage subscription features
- Respond to support and operational requests
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the app
- Enforce usage controls (for example, quota or subscription checks)
4) Legal Bases (EEA/UK, where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process personal data under one or more legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (providing the app and its features)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service reliability, product improvement)
- Consent (where required, such as certain permissions)
- Legal obligations (where required by law)
5) Türkiye (KVKK) — kısa bilgilendirme
If you are located in Türkiye, Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") may apply. As the data controller, Fevzihan Alkan processes your personal data as described in this Policy.
You may exercise your rights under applicable law (for example, to learn whether your data is processed, to request correction or deletion where conditions are met, and to request information about third-country transfers) by contacting alkanfevzihan@gmail.com. We will respond within legal time limits where applicable.
Whether registration in VERBİS (Data Controllers Registry) is required depends on specific criteria under Turkish law; if an obligation applies, compliance will be maintained accordingly.
6) International Transfers
Our service providers may process or store data in countries outside your country of residence (including outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area), depending on their infrastructure. Where required, transfers may rely on appropriate safeguards offered by providers (such as standard contractual clauses) or other lawful mechanisms.
7) Camera, Photos, and Storage Permissions
Kloovi requests access to camera/photos/media storage to let you:
- Capture garment photos
- Select existing images
- Save and manage wardrobe-related content
You can revoke these permissions in your device settings, but some features may stop working.
8) How and Where Data Is Stored
Kloovi uses third-party infrastructure to provide core functionality, including:
- Firebase Authentication (account login/auth)
- Cloud Firestore (structured app data)
- Firebase Storage (image/file storage)
- Backend API services (image analysis and outfit recommendations)
- RevenueCat (subscription state orchestration)
Backend processing location: The application backend used for clothing analysis and outfit recommendations is hosted on Hetzner infrastructure in Nuremberg, Germany (European Union). When you use these features, content you submit (such as images or related metadata) may be processed temporarily on those servers as part of providing the service, in addition to processing on Firebase/Google Cloud systems.
Your data may also be processed in other countries depending on Firebase and other providers’ infrastructure (see International Transfers).
9) Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data with:
- Service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the app
- App marketplace/payment platforms for subscription and purchase operations
- Authorities or legal parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
We share only what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
10) Data Retention
This section reflects how Kloovi is built today (Firebase, backend API, and app storage). Provider-side backups may retain residual copies for their own periods.
Account, wardrobe, outfits, and images (Firebase)
- Firestore documents for your profile, wardrobe items, and saved outfits, and Firebase Storage files under your user path, are kept until you delete those items or delete your account, except as noted below.
Monthly usage counters (Firestore)
- For subscription/quota enforcement, the app may store per-calendar-month counters under
usage/{YYYY-MM}. These aggregates are kept while your account exists and are removed when your account is successfully deleted through our deletion flows.
Email verification code (Firestore)
- One-time email verification codes are stored under your user profile with a validity period of 3 minutes, after which they are treated as expired and removed when verification fails or succeeds.
Account deletion email link (Firestore)
- For Google/OAuth-style deletion flows, a single-use confirmation token may be stored with an expiry of 24 hours. It is deleted when you open the link successfully or when it expires. Final account deletion must also be completed within 24 hours of email verification, as enforced by the app.
Backend analysis API (Hetzner)
- Clothing analysis and recommendation requests may write images or derivatives to temporary files on the server during processing. Those temporary files are removed after the request is handled; Kloovi does not describe a separate long-term image archive on the application server in the current implementation.
Local device storage
- Certain preferences (for example, notification toggles or tutorial flags) may be stored locally on your device (for example, via app storage) until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Service providers
- Firebase, Google Cloud, Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, and hosting providers may retain standard logs, backups, or caches according to their own policies and technical practices.
11) Account Deletion
Kloovi provides an in-app account deletion flow with identity verification steps (which may differ depending on whether you signed in with email/password, Apple, or Google).
When account deletion completes successfully, we aim to delete:
- Your user profile document and related Firestore collections used by the app (for example, wardrobe and outfits)
- Files stored for your account in Firebase Storage under your user path
Residual copies may rarely persist temporarily due to backups, replication delays, or provider retention policies.
12) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
You can also manage permissions and notifications from your device/app settings.
To exercise rights, contact alkanfevzihan@gmail.com.
13) Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
14) Children's Privacy
Kloovi is not directed at children. You must meet the minimum age required by the app marketplace rules and applicable law in your region to use the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
15) Third-Party Privacy Resources
Third-party services have their own privacy notices, including:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Apple Privacy Policy
- Firebase / Google Cloud & data processing
- RevenueCat Privacy Policy
16) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Kloovi after updates means you accept the revised policy.
